About
The addition of another note (either a 2nd or 4th) to a triad opens up a universe of possibility. The result being a complex, contemporary sound that will find its way in any given style: from jazz, blues and fusion. In the hands of one of Australia’s most respected players, participants will learn effective and efficient ways to practice and in doing so, gain insight into harnessing the material creatively. Topics include: contours, skips and steps, voicing/ comping, 2 and 3 octave patterns and superimposition. PARTICIPANT FEEDBACK: “A great pace for learning. Fantastic resources and clarity in instruction. Thanks James.” "JM has got great delivery...straight to the point so clear and concise. Hard to believe you can pack in so much info in 15 minutes. " "Practical and interesting lessons. Inspiring playing and supportive teaching. Great resources, backing tracks and well organised." "I had never delved into the possibilities of using"triads plus one" before, and have found it fascinating.” "Exceptional learning experience." LEVEL: INTERMEDIATE/ ADVANCING Note: On occasion, sessions encountered some internet issues. This mainly occurred when James played along with a backing track and bandwidth was compromised. Apart from these instances, the delivery of the content was clear and not effected.
