About
Of all the chords types available, Major 7th b5 is undisputably one of the most important. Its ability to be effectively superimposed over a range of other chords (minor, dominant and -7b5) and sophisticated sound, accounts for its prevalence in jazz, fusion and blues. Upon the month’s completion, participants will enjoy a drastically increased ability to navigate complex chord types melodically and harmonically and be introduced to concepts previously reserved for pro players. The month - long morning sessions will appeal to those keen to deepen their understanding and working knowledge of the chord and its use. Participants will learn effective and efficient ways to practice and in doing so, gain insight into harnessing the material creatively in the context of composition and improvisation.
